  1. Dear author, I love your blog . :) I really needed more Christian faith… Currently I am undergoing some psychic attacks by some witches who are unhappy with my interpretation of their actions – they cursed and threatened to hurt my family… So I bit them back. This quote made me realise that I’m not alone. Thank you very much. And God bless you <3

      1. I don’t know how to pray in tongues, unfortunately…. I will definitely check it out… It might save my life, in fact… Thank you so much, Jeff…. God bless <3

          1. Dear Jeff, whilst I was trying to pray in tongues, the people who were cursing me were getting closer to me and I didn’t know why…. In fact, whilst praying, a sweet voice said to me “Don’t pray when that person is near…. Otherwise you’ll be hurt again.” I didn’t listen because I believed that praying in tongues was meant to be a way to get closer to God, but instead… that’s what happened…. I was under psychic attack so I was wondering why I don’t feel like I was doing the right thing?

Also, I love the video……. The tongues you do is wonderful…. It was so touching that I felt like I had to respect you and literally immerse myself in its beauty…. The Holy Spirit surely is wonderful….

            God bless.

            1. I would think that only demons would tell someone not to pray in tongues. God determines what to pray, so there is no danger of ever praying in tongues, unless it’s in public, and someone would be offended or something.

I would pray and pray and pray, and not worry about it. Also, you can believe in your heart you are praying specifically for these people, and then pray until your prayer language stops. Often, you’ll be able to feel a big difference after getting freed up. Happens to me every day. I get cursed a lot!

I have yet to do a video myself, so all of the videos on my site are done by others.

I believe God gave us this gift because if we saw the evil spirits we’re dealing with, or even understood more about what’s actually going on we might freak. This way, we can pray perfectly without having to think about the yuck.

Also, this shows how ridiculous the naysayers are, when they say only some can pray in tongues. There are many NT examples where they all prayed in tongues, and Jesus said this would be a sign for those who believe. The 1 Cor. 12 passage was talking about gifts to be used in public in the church, which would be tongues and interpretation, which is different than a person’s prayer language.

              1. … I love the tongues… :< I just tried praying… Surprisingly, I ended up singing… Half of the time, I am scared of unwittingly cursing people with this tongues….. Because I don't actually formulate what I am saying at the time I am doing the speech with God. Oh goodness, Jeff… You are such a blessing… Thank you so much for your support and wisdom :) Your articles and you are definitely a God-send….. I'm starting to feel my life lightening up….

And sorry for the mix up ! I hope that you upload a video of yourself one day then! :) Hehehehehee <3

I'm sorry to hear that you get cursed everyday… The truth of it all is that it is the same for me…. I almost had a near-death out-of-body experience…. And that's when I knew that things were getting too serious…. And that Satan was definitely not a joke….

                1. Don’t worry at all about demons taking over your tongues. There are many naysayers that say incorrect so people won’t pray in tongues to be free! You’ll feel “lightened up” as the demons go.

And don’t worry about what it sounds like, what’s coming out of your mouth. If you’re dealing with demons it’s probably not going to sound angelic, but rather serious. I’ve probably heard many different languages and sounds as I’ve prayed. The main thing is to pray enough. If what you’re praying sounds weird, keep on praying until things lighten up, until the job is done, I would say.

You may also hear people’s names to pray for. This happens to me every day, and started in the early ’80s, when I didn’t know what was going on, but figured it out. If that happens, pray for them in tongues, believing in your heart you’re praying only for them, and keep that focus until there is no longer prayer language for that person. We can even help others get freed up this way. It’s tremendously powerful, and maybe is the most important thing I do.

Thanks for the suggestion to do videos on this. I really need to. It’s the only subject that I’ve been asked to, by the way: a Facebook friend and now you.

Singing in tongues is great. I’ve done it many times, but not much lately.

My hands actually shake big time, overhead when I’m praying for something close to God’s heart, so it seems — something that is crucially important to pray for. Happens to me almost every day, which started after I attended 33 Rodney Howard-Browne meetings here in Anchorage, Alaska in the early ’90s.

  2. I have been speaking and praying in tongues since 1978. When I was a cab driver in New York City in the 1980’s I’d drive my cab.. speaking softly in tongues. I knew hundreds of drivers. I was the only one that had never had a holdup. And one night, during the record blizzard of April 6, 1982, the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to me, and led me to a place where a 75 year old man had succumbed to the blizzard, was lying underneath the snow, and dying of hypothermia. I saved his life, and the story was told in the now famous film documentary,.. “Outrageous Taxi Stories’, filmed in 1989, and available to see online. Just one week ago I went on a 3 hour prayer walk where I spent half my time praising God and the other half speaking in tongues. 2 days later the Holy Spirit gave me the lyrics and melody to a song about the Rapture: It’s wonderful. You can see it here: http://the-parallel-universe.com/trumpets-sound-know-im-going-home/
Paul called speaking in tongues ‘perfect prayer’, and ‘speaking divine secrets to God’. We know then since the holy spirit is giving us the words to say (which even we can’t understand else we’d edit).. we cannot pray amiss. and indeed, the prayer must be well pleasing to God. I use this type of prayer OFTEN when praying for others, so that I know that I am praying according to God’s will for that person!
    God bless you! Victoria
