NOTE: I’ve always greatly appreciated Mike Bickle’s zeal and heart for God, and probably always will. I approve of much of what is happening at the IHOPU Student Awakening. They’re leading the way in so many right things, but there are some problems.

I bring this up not to put down, but so that we can do better — and better — until…

The goal is ‘ONE.’ Jesus wants us to be one with each other in Him (John 17). And the leaders at IHOP (International House of Prayer) have been calling for a Third Great Awakening. How can this happen in our midst when lust is rampant within the church?

I’m convinced that false doctrine is the main problem within the American church, and that false doctrine is the main thing keeping FULL revival, the Third Great Awakening from happening at IHOP and elsewhere.

“God accepts us no matter what” is a major theme at the IHOP Awakening meetings. For example: False, revival-killing, salvation doctrine at IHOP continues from IHOPU president, Allen Hood at the Awakening meetings :(

When people don’t get fully right with God and their brothers and sisters, it’s impossible to worship in Spirit and in truth. So many don’t want to worship God directly. So the “bless me, Lord”/”fill us, Lord,” telling-God-what-to-do songs continue to be standards, and direct-to-God worship is the exception rather than the rule — as it is done in heaven.

And IHOP actually has a reputation for being alive (Rev. 3:1-6), whereas most of the ‘church’ in America doesn’t even have that.

In order for the Third Great Awakening to occur, we must lift up HOLY hands to the Lord. And we must clothed in white (not willfully sinning sins like lust — see the who-will-not-inherit-the-kingdom list in Galatians 5, along with Hebrews 10:26-39) in order for our names to not be removed from the Book of Life (Rev. 3:1-6). This is serious!

‘Christians’ can go from porn to worship “within the minute,” but can a real Christian worship in Spirit and in truth within the minute after willfully sinning such a serious sin?

I think not. Something is wrong here. Mike means well. The Passion for Jesus Conference was about restoring the first commandment to first place. Mike’s heart is in the right place, no doubt. But it’s statements like this that people will just take as a license to just keep on lusting, never getting totally free from the lust demons that drive lust so they can relax in God to be able to worship in Spirit and in truth.

Mike Bickle is speaking on part four of the Greatest Commandment, loving the Lord, our God with all of our strength.

Mike said we need to love on God’s terms, and he led a prayer so people would shift over to loving God being the greatest priority. And then he said:

“He’ll take you in your weakness. He’ll take you in your brokenness. He said, ‘I’ll take you just as you are. Just come with the intention to do this [focused on doing the greatest commandment].

And when you fail, admit it, confess it, push delete; jump back right in the race before the hour is up. Go hard again. No condemnation. Don’t waste a moment on condemnation. Push delete, and be there confident before God in love.

A guy says, ‘Oh, I like the pornography.’

Call it sin; repent of it; confess it before God; and be back within the minute as a lover of God with confidence that He enjoys the worship that you’re giving Him.

Don’t wallow for three or four weeks, or a couple of hours. No self probation. Don’t put yourself in probation. You have confidence before Him no matter what you did 20 minutes ago.

Holy Spirit, I ask you to come, right now, with fire. There’s some real setting of the heart going on with some of you, tonight. It’s a dynamic setting of your heart. Just change your life. Lord, release Your power right now. Fire, Lord. We’re here for passion for Jesus. That’s what we’re here for. We’re here to align our heart with You, Jesus. We’re in this for real till the end.”

But to align our hearts with God is to reject porn totally.

If God would come the way He wants to watchers of porn would be in great danger of being zapped. See:

What if God did release His fire, now, like Mike is asking God to?

Jesus said in Matthew 5 that we need to do everything we have to in order to not lust, so we can go to heaven. Lust isn’t an option for true believers. Watching porn is not a light thing that we can just do and then be worshiping within the minute.

We just gave into demon power. That demon won’t go unless there is full repentance — not repeatance. “Delete” has to be pushed really hard, fully pushed. The door has to be totally shut. The heart has to be settled. The prodigal son must come back. This is sick to even contemplate this scenario, thinking we can worship God within the minute.

Many will just take this as license….

John 4:

23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

We can’t be hypocrites and worshipers.

We measure our spiritual maturity by how much of the Sermon on the Mount we walk out in daily life. We measure our ministry impact by the extent to which people live out these values, not by the number of people who receive our ministry.”

Let’s determine to stay fully in the kingdom, our hearts totally pure, fully resting in His love.

1 John 2:

15 Don’t love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s. 17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever. …

28 Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Galatians 5:

16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

This is what we should be teaching. How to be really free, together, truly in Christ — resting — settled — where we belong.

      I’m not rebuking Mike Bickle. I’m just saying, please, Mike, reassess, especially your salvation doctrine in which apparently people can watch porn and still be in the kingdom of God — and then go right into worship??? Yikes!

      I think the salvation doctrine is still the number 1 problem in the church. Have you read my article Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way? It’s been up for over 2 years and no one has been able to refute it, even though I’m offering a monetary reward to anyone who does.

      When we see God face to face, we have to have a pure heart in order to have confidence to enter.

      I believe Mike is in this situation right now, and Wes Hall, and Ryan Kondo, who just led worship a few minutes ago — and many others at IHOP. But not everybody.

      It may be rare for people to be living in the “those who are Christ’s list” in Galatians 5. Most ‘Christians’ live all the time in Paul’s first Galatians-5 list, those who will not inherit eternal life, mainly because the ‘church’ doesn’t teach what Jesus, Paul, and James and John taught. So we have what we have.

      Mike is trying to be inclusive in what he says above, and to encourage willful lusters that they should be worshiping too (and it’s not just porn either. It’s regular TV now — and ads, etc. all over the internet!).

      I don’t believe that Mike is willfully sinning or misleading people in this teaching, but I think he is misleading people. But this is minor, compared to what most pastors are doing. I’m trying to help here because I believe that Mike is in many ways on the right track.

      I don’t know Mike personally, and I live thousands of miles away. And I’m not mad at Mike. He’s a good guy. He’s trying to get people to live in the greatest commandment here. But com’ on, Mike??! Yikes! That’s what I’m saying.

      And he spoke this publicly to a huge group of people. You can probably even watch it on their website now, so it’s not wrong for me to bring this up publicly. His teaching is head and shoulders above most church leaders’, no doubt. He knows this.

      And Loyd, you ask how many secret faults I have. To my knowledge, at this point in my life, I don’t have any secret sins according to Paul’s who-won’t-inherit-the-kingdom-of-heaven list in Galatians 5, which includes lust. And that list doesn’t include lying, like Revelation 21 does. I’m not knowingly lying either.

      But I’m far from perfect. I still have too hard of a time in forgiving everyone 100%, from my whole heart, 24/7. But I work on it every day, and I pray for my ‘enemies’ in my prayer language every day too. Praying in tongues is important, by the way, in order to be able to overcome.

      I have trouble keeping the house from being messy. I’d much rather be doing this kind of thing — trouble shooting — trying to help bring in the kingdom so it will be easy for many to overcome in the future.

      I can also say that I’m not aware of anyone whom I’ve hurt who I need to apologize to. And if I become aware, I will.

      God gives us the grace to work out our salvation through fear and trembling. But current church doctrine has taken out the fear and trembling part of the gospel “God loves us no matter what.” “I’m okay; you’re okay.” But we’re only okay if we really are okay, according to the Bible. So most people aren’t on the road to eternal life and aren’t happy now in Christ, where we belong, together.

      Romans 8:1 really says (but not in the NIV):

      There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

      This is what the whole New Testament teaches, which I point out in my Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way article.

      It’s up to us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, which the Holy Spirit gives us the grace to do. He will never allow us to be tempted above which we are able to bear. 1 Cor. 10:13

      No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

      And this includes lust, hate, wishing evil on people, not telling the truth, strife, etc.. But those who are Christ’s (real Christians) have crucified their flesh. Gal. 5:

      16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

      Like Paul, the pastors in America should be forewarning the church of this to this degree!

      If I ever fell into one of these sins, I would take a sabbatical from writing at ONEcanhappen for awhile, for I’d be Biblically disqualified to teach others to overcome if I wasn’t overcoming, myself.

      Why do you think I have so many posts on “Lust Freedom!” at this site and ToBeFree?

      I had a dream almost 20 years ago that I was in danger of going to hell for willfully lusting. And in the dream, I heard what Jesus said about lusting in the sermon on the mount (Mt. 5), and then I heard: “it’s better to pluck out your eye than lose your whole body in hell.”

      I also had a vision in how a lust spirit couldn’t get in until I willfully lusted just a little bit. And we’re not even talking porn here. This is going from the kingdom of heaven to Satan’s kingdom by looking again at something we knew we were supposed to look away from.

      Then the demon smiled, saying something like “a hah!” And he was able to enter me. And that’s how ‘Christians’ get lust driven, thinking they can never be free.

      The only way to overcome lust is by submitting to God 100% in this area, and then we can resist the Devil and he (his demons) will flee.

      The only way to overcome lust is cold turkey. But if our salvation doctrine allows lust in our lives, so most won’t do what they have to in order to overcome, which Jesus says we must do in Matthew 5.

      The biggest problem in the church is bad doctrine, and the biggest solution to seeing real revival, what Mike calls the third Great Awakening is to come back to sound doctrine — not doctrines of demons that are deceiving millions and millions!!!

      We need to come out from them and be separate. Just because it’s easier to sin, now that we can see partially unclad women online and on TV and even in person — even in churches: The Low-Cut Top Epidemic: May We Be Holy — that doesn’t make it permissible.

      It’s the ‘church’ that has allowed our society to be this corrupt. Now it’s in our face. And just think what it will be like when we have 3D TV!

      We need to do whatever we have to in order to overcome.

      ‘ONE’ can happen, Jesus’ heart-cry for us in John 17. “Then the world will know.”

Read John 17 25 times.Jesus said he KEPT all His disciples in his Father’s name. Read Jude 1:24-25 and weep for joy. The straight and narrow is Christ crucified,the door into eternal salvation.           I’m sorry that you feel that way. I don’t know what your agenda is, but it doesn’t seem to include being interested in what the Bible really says or what I’m really about.

          [And readers, incidentally, Loyd also wrote this scoffing comment which also helps us see where Loyd is coming from.]

          And regarding your scriptures which you claim proves your apparently OSAS perspective, you’re doing what Luther did, running with a few scriptures that suit your fancy and ignoring the clarifying ones that may even be talking about people that are to a certain degree like you, namely “mockers” or “scoffers” (verse 18), but first, verse 4:

          For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness….

          And these are the verses which precede and clarify the ones that soothe you so, having taking them out of context. This reminds me of you, as well:

          17 But you, beloved, remember the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 18 They said to you that “In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.” 19 These are they who cause divisions, and are sensual, not having the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. 22 On some have compassion, making a distinction, 23 and some save, snatching them out of the fire with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh.

          And then come the Jude verses you camp on, which apparently you don’t even really believe (that God can keep us from stumbling):

          24 Now to him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present you faultless [which is what happens when we don’t stumble – ed.] before the presence of his glory in great joy, 25 to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

          I didn’t mention the texts in Jude in my Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way article, but still could, someday. It dovetails with what is taught in the rest of the New Testament.

          And then you mention that I should read over and over one of my favorite chapters, John 17, which is included in the header of this site.

          But you mention only a small aspect of the chapter, as well as not mentioning what Jesus said in other parts of this discourse, which started in John 14.

          This is how deception is done, everyone, false teachers emphasize certain texts while ignoring the greater context which puts into balance the texts cited.

          Jesus just spoke about the Vine and the branches in John 15, which I explain in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way, and Keith Green explains here: [1978 concert video] Keith Green debunked LUTHER’S FALSE SALVATION DOCTRINE that’s now MAINSTREAM in America. Let’s get it right!

          Jesus said in John 15:

          5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. … 10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love. 11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full. 12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.

          Are you loving me as Jesus loved people, and in so doing keeping Jesus’ commandments, according to John 15? If you’re not, you’re in the verse-6 category, which is what OSAS is doing to your soul, while you put down and mock those who believe what Jesus and the New Testament really teaches.

          And regarding what you’re saying about babes in Christ, whom you say are struggling: I didn’t struggle when I was a babe in Christ. I was a jumped-in-fully babe in Christ who already knew the truth about Hebrews 10:26-39, having read it. I was on cloud 9, 24/7, which is where we should all be (if you indeed even are born-again), “that your joy may be made full!”

          And Hebrews 10:26-39 talks about willful sin. Hebrews 10:26 only applies to willful sin. If babes don’t know they’re sinning….

          We absolutely can have assurance of salvation all the time if we remain in Christ according to what Romans 8:1 really says (in the non-gutted versions) and in so many other scriptures which I cite.

          The church in Sardis is a good example, Rev. 3:1-5: who are dressed in white and will not have their names removed from the Book of Life? Who is the bride of Christ? Who are the children of God, really?

          The doctrine of legal righteousness instead of actual righteousness isn’t a Biblical concept, but a doctrine of demons pushed by Luther and the majority of today’s evangelical theologians.

          And regarding me writing so much to explain what I believe is true: you probably don’t carefully read what I write anyway. It seems clear that you haven’t so far. I’m writing this mainly for those who do have ears to hear and eyes to see. And maybe you will, someday too.

  2. As someone who has logged a ridiculous amount of hours listening to Bickle sermons let me tell you that his intent is fully on long term repentance and it works. He is addressing the fact that the millions bound in pornography in the church think that they are disqualified from having a relationship with Christ. So effectively they are cut off from there source of power, Christ! So they go from guilt to indulgence back to guilt in a vicious circle. Bickle may not have mentioned this in the one you saw but I’ve heard him say many times that push delete is not casual, it is full repentance and full turning from the sin. It is not a license to go back to the sin, and if there is no victory over the sin in the long-term ones heart can be hardened to Christ.

    There is no way, zero way to walk in the Spirit without prayer. And prayer is talking to the indwelling Holy Spirit. And that is the the way to overcome pornography for good. Declaring war against the sin and focusing on the Spirit inside, that will enable you to do all things. That is that last thing the devil wants, as long as he has us disqualified and in shame and guilt, thinking the cross wasn’t enough to pay for our sin when we repent, or in some self inflicted spiriutal time-out, shame spiral..

    Accountability is paramount, “cutting out our eyes” that cause us to lust, ie unsupervised computers and tv, those are biblical ways to help us stay fully repentant and not tempted. and Mike has said that. but for many people the first step is being accepted by Christ in their weakness and in that place embracing Him.

      I agree with most of what you say, including:

      But for most people in most scenarios, this isn’t worshiping in Spirit and in truth. This is the beginning of the return to Christ.

      Repenting and getting right with God, and determining not to do it again isn’t worship, and it takes time.

      When a Christian decides to watch porn, he’s jumped into the pig pens with Satan. Biblically speaking, we’re talking Prodigal Son here. He gives demons a right to lust-drive him. He has willfully gone from the kingdom of light into the kingdom of darkness. This is huge!

      It’s the understatement of the serious of this sin (as if this is okay for Christians to even think about doing) and it’s the idea that one can then “worship within the minute” that concerns me.

      Would Jesus preach anything close to this? Or any other Bible writer?

      The church is in what I call partysville. The solution for partysville, according to James is James 4:

      1 Where do wars and fightings among you [speaking to Christians] come from? Don’t they come from your pleasures that war in your members? 2 You lust, and don’t have. You kill, covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war [this follows James-3, the chapter on Christians cursing Christians from their hearts (v. 14). Text below].

      You don’t have, because you don’t ask. 3 You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.

      4 You adulterers and adulteresses [adultery = lusting in the heart (Mt. 5)], don’t you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously“?

      6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

      7 Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.       Brandon, is this “worship within the minute?” I don’t think so. This is “I’m okay; you’re okay” when we’re not yet okay. We’re too much in danger of not fully getting out of this sin and living in Christ.

      Mike talks about how we need a Third Great Awakening. We probably all agree. And Shelley had the dream of how important Jonathan Edwards First Great Awakening experience is for this awakening. But isn’t Allen preaching the exact opposite of what Jonathan Edwards taught:

      I wonder if you carefully read what I wrote in this article. I’m also a fan of Mike. I’m thankful for many things he’s done and is doing. I’m just trying to bring us into a worshiping-in-Spirit-and-in-truth perspective.

      Mike is loose on certain doctrines, including salvation doctrine. He’s allowing Allen Hood, IHOPU’s president to teach heresy. For perspective, see: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way. Alen Hood is teaching just the opposite of what the Bible teaches.

      Though I greatly appreciate IHOP paving the way in certain areas, which I’ve stated over and over, I’ve also predicted long ago that the full revival that America and the world needs is not going to start at IHOP unless some major changes are made.

      Shelley had the dream that should have put them on the right road, but false salvation doctrine is keeping them from accepting and teaching the truth so that people can get right and stay right with God so God’s manifest presence can come.

      Have you seen this: Asbury Revival, 1970: “Dr. Kinlaw, I am a liar. Now what do I do?”

      Why are they ignoring what happened at Asbury and how it happened? Why isn’t there any teaching at the Awakening meetings about the importance of getting right with those we’ve hurt? I’ve watched for many hundreds of hours, and have even listened to the prayers in the prayer room. There is lots of talk about abortion, but nothing about the evangelicals’ wholesale support of preemptive and reverse-Christian wars. And I don’t see preaching and testimonies of getting right with those we’ve hurt.

      At Asbury, even professors publicly repented in front of the students and faculty. I suspect that one or more of the leaders at IHOP need to do this, but don’t think they have to based upon their salvation doctrine.

      My guess is that Mike and Wes both have pure and clean hearts. I think they’re true revivalists, but their doctrine is still a cistern that can’t hold enough Water. They need help. They need balance. God can’t come until the people are clean. And the leaders at IHOP are totally ignoring two of the main keys to the earlier revivals: the fear of the Lord from not being fully right with Him and people — and then getting fully right with God and people.

      Heart adultery is a huge issue these days. It’s so accessible and tempting. And apparently, based especially upon what Allen is openly teaching (with Mike allowing him to even be president…!), as well as how lightly Mike is really making light of it here [Jesus would never preach this way], many IHOPers are not going to sufficiently run from this sin (and it’s not just porn, it’s what ‘Christians’ watch on TV too, and how some ‘Christians’ dress…??). Willful heart lusters are not only keeping the kingdom of God from fully happening, but they’re in great danger of losing their salvation as well.

      And many people run to lust because they feel guilty about what they’ve done to others but haven’t apologized to those they’ve hurt, like they did at Asbury.

      It’s possible that willfully lusting is largely a symptom of the ‘church’ not getting right with those they’ve hurt — not properly confessing their sins — thinking they can ‘worship’ without leaving their gift at the altar and first getting right with their brother or sister (including the Iraqis, don’t you think?).

      Ignoring what clearly should have been learned from Asbury is keeping the church divided, apart, and we’re not fully enough in the healthy place where it will be easy to overcome lust.

      When ONE happens, Jesus said the world will know (John 17). The world still smells a rat within Christendom. The ‘church’ is still the main reason for the fall of America: The Red Gate Prophecy — What If I Open It Just a Little Bit? Check it out.

      It seems that there is so much blaming the homosexuals and the abortion commiters, in the IHOP prayer room, but Jesus said to first take the plank out of our own eye, then we can see clearly to take the speck out of our neighbor’s eye.

      But if you read what I write in my IHOP articles carefully, you’ll see that I’m appreciative of the good things that IHOP is doing. They are breaking ground for all of us, but their some of their doctrines and practices aren’t sufficiently Biblical enough and Holy Spirit led enough to bring about the move that they keep telling God to give them.

      Which is another thing: how do we have the right to tell God what to do, something I’ve written about in this blog, something that seems to have been largely started in the Vineyard movement, which I also so much loved, but there were certain key things that kept that revival from fully happening too.

      Shelley’s dream was that we should learn from the previous revivals. And that’s what I’m trying to do here.

      Why can’t God move like He wants to move? What is keeping full revival from happening?

      The number one problem in the ‘church’ today is seriously flawed and unbiblical salvation doctrine, which is why I believe the truth in this article is so important for us individually, but also the key for getting real Christianity going collectively: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way.

      And perhaps there is another key factor that comes to my mind when I ponder the president of IHOPU’s almost complete disregard for the warning passages in the New Testament regarding who goes to heaven, and Mike allowing him to do this.

      Perhaps Mike started this unbilical slippery slope when he said that Paul didn’t really mean what he clearly said in 1 Timothy about women’s role in church leadership. For whoever is president of IHOPU has to also disregard what Paul clearly said. So he can’t be a truly biblical theologian.

      And rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. When we rebel against what the Bible clearly says….

      It’s something to think about. Until God comes in His manifest presence in a big way we still have serious error in the church. And it behooves us to find what that error is. Telling God to fill us isn’t going to do it. It’s being in a place where He can fill us is when He will.

      Everything should be on the table. Lord, where did we go wrong? What can we do to get it right? And then do it.

      That’s largely what this site is all about. ONE can happen. What is keeping ONE from happening, and what can we do so ONE does happen?

      May we truly be ONE with each other in Christ. Then the world will know.

  3. The Bible tells us to be sober but Bickle promotes drunkeness from the “New Wine” that churches around the world are partaking of. This literally is the world consuming the One World Philosophy that Jesus warned would come. God help those who have fallen for these doctrines of demons that Timothy and Paul warned us about!

    Many now at IHOP wear Masonic rings, declare an unhealthy ‘lovesickness’ for Jesus, and focus more on experience than they do the written Word of God. “God” must ‘prove Himself’ every Sunday with outrageous ‘miracles’. If you research occultic medium Alice Bailey, the three things she channeled from Satan that had to happen for the antichrist and his kingdom to come are: “Inclusiveness”. We now see the Church becoming UNIVERSAL. Doctrinal differences are being erased so everyone can join in.

    The second thing she said that has to happen, is the “Eradication of written Truth”: Biblical doctrine. This is happening two-fold. The fundamental church (enter Rick Warren) is promoting non Biblical, watered down ‘translations’ of Scripture. The charismatic church is slowly eradicating the Logos so as to completely look to spirit realm revelations only. So the Church is becoming OCCULTIC. The third thing Alice Bailey predicted was the coming mystical change of men: “TRANSFORMATION”. To the pseudo Christian this word means “worshiping in altered states of consciousness”, “entering heaven to receive messages from the spirit world”, and receiving power to control nature or to read someone’s mind. To the occultic, transformation means complete demonic mind control in order to follow the antichrist.

    Churches today are teaching the youth that ‘worship’ is hysteria and loss of the senses, therefore literally preparing unbelievers for occultic mind control. This ‘transformation’ is rendering many to lean toward the occultic agenda to eradicate the need for written Truth and fight ‘evil’ ((anyone who doesn’t adhere to the Rhema (voice of God)). This is not the true Rhema of God, but Satanic. Therefore the Church is becoming MILITANT against itself.

    Rick Warren, Mike Bickle and Rick Joyner push the agenda to eliminate the ‘old wineskins” – those who are in the way of the coming “Global Church”. Nowhere in Scripture does it tell us of a great Harvest and a “Global Church of God” in the end days. Jesus said “men would wax worse and worse.” He also said that MANY false prophets would arise, deceiving many by signs and wonders! Yet, Bickle and Joyner and others are misleading millions because they go by spirit realm ‘revelations’ instead of the Truth of the written Word.

    There are many God-loving people who have been brain washed by these false teachers and Jesus warned us that in the last days, men would no longer follow sound doctrine.” (II Timothy 4) “Come out of her, my people…” Revelation 18:4

    Its interesting that you are taught at I hop and j hop to be apart of the Group mind thing hummm Translation you can challage ask questions just follow….hummmm Where is the Discerment and testing GODS WORD tells us to follow false doctrine? Do we follow man with false visions and dreams? or GODS WORD ? Just discern and test in HIS WORD the answer is already there ……

      I agree with you that many of the modern Bible translations like the NIV (I don’t even consider “The Message” a real translation) promote false doctrine, but I find the verses they change or omit tend to reduce the validity of the charismatic gifts and the necessity to live a holy life. The single most damaging ommission may be the removing of the last part of Romans 8:1.

      “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”

      And all three of the men you mentioned may have been influenced by these faulty translations.

      However, I wouldn’t put Rick Warren in the list with Rick Joyner and Mike Bickle. I don’t see Rick Warren as even being in the ballpark for what God wants to do. Rick Joyner and Mike Bickle have much more Biblical goals which they are trying to pursue (though I haven’t followed what Joyner’s been doing lately), but they have mixture, mainly because of false doctrine, I think, especially in regards to who goes to heaven and who are the sons of God, Biblically, which I think is the key issue, the key thing that’s keeping The Third Great Awakening from happening in America.

      When there is willful sin among most of the people in a church and they’re trying to be open to what the Holy Spirit is doing, there is then going to be mixture: the Holy Spirit touching some Wes Hall: Why do people laugh and shake under the power of God? | “The Lord has released a revelation of the Father’s love I’ll never forget” and demons touching and influencing many too.

      We need to be careful to not throw out the baby with the bathwater. There is a tendency for many to do this, which I tried to balance here, talking about a small fraction of my own personal experience: What is Real Revival?

      The main thing that may get us more on the same page is this. The Bible is fully the word of God, but the Bible is not, cannot, and is not supposed to lead us into all truth. Jesus said in the Bible that this is the Holy Spirit’s job. And Paul said that those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.

      We’re not supposed to just follow God’s words written in a Book. We’re supposed to follow and be led by God Himself. Saying otherwise is contrary to what the Bible clearly teaches in a number of places.

      And if we’re not being led by the Holy Spirit, personally and corporately, that should be a reality check that we’re in big trouble.

      The deception in the last days will be great. You and I probably fully agree on that. And Jesus didn’t leave us as orphans. We have the Comforter Who will lead us into all truth.

      So where is the Holy Spirit leading us individually and collectively?

      I think Mike Bickle is trying to get there but he’s stuck with certain doctrines and practices getting in the way. I haven’t even been watching their meetings lately. The Holy Spirit can’t fully move on a people who aren’t holy. It really is like they’re just stuck. They’ve hit a wall and they’re not fully determined to find out what that wall is. So they can’t go any further until they do.

      That’s what I’m doing at this site. I’m trying to show what these barriers are to real Christianity happening among us so we can be free internally no matter what. We need to get the real thing happening so we can survive what is coming. And people have a right to see the real thing so they can in full awareness choose or reject Jesus and the true Christian walk.

      Thanks for commenting. It’s good to discuss these things. Jesus wants us to be ONE in Him (John 17), and this will only happen when we really are in Christ according to what Romans 8 (including 1b) and many other Scriptures really say.

      We were never meant to just follow the Bible. This isn’t Biblical. But we really need to know what the Bible really teaches about the key doctrines in order to go astray by the great deceptions of our day, which are just killing the revival.

      Pastors have a hard time admitting that they need prophetic people to balance them. Ephesians 4:11-16 can’t happen without prophetic people being in leadership according to verse 11. God has been trying to build the church but pastors (without prophets) just shut it down.

      And then there are more prophetic churches like Rick Joyner’s and Mike Bickle’s, where they want to run with what God wants, but I think a lack of sound doctrine is keeping it from happening.

      But that isn’t to single them out. They’re walking in the same once-saved-always-saved doctrines to too much of a degree, just like most ‘churches’ are.

      My guess is that Mike Bickle is really trying to do the right thing. I think he has a pure heart, but it’s false doctrine which is the broken cistern that can’t hold the water.

      I think we should focus right now on getting our doctrines right. Then we can pursue God together in unity and it won’t be bittersweet at all. Jesus said: “Then the world will know.”

      May we be ONE in Him!

  4. Okay, recently Mike had John Mulinde speak at IHOP having him share his encounter with the Lord who told him he wouldn’t be saved if he didn’t repent of lust. Mike doesn’t believe you are saved if you don’t repent. but he also teaches that condemnation keeps people in pornography and furthermore only feeding your heart on the affections and beauty of God will enable you to stand strong and resist it. Gal 5 if we walk in the Spirit we will not walk in the flesh. We must run to God not from Him when we stumble, or we camp out in condemnation and then stay in sin. Remember it is His kindness that brings us to repentance, though Rom 11:22 we must behold both His kindness and severity. The fear of the Lord keeps us from sin, but religious spirit and condemnation ultimately burn us out and away from the strength of God we need to overcome. All works are done by the Spirit of God, not man’s strength.

      I’ve stated many times on this site that I really like Mike. I started listening to his teaching in the ’80s. I like his attitude, and I think his goals are the same as mine: that Jesus’ prayer for us in John 17 that ONE will happen among us — that the Third Great Awakening happens soon during what appears to be the final days of America. I’ve listened to Mike’s vision of the U.S. being invaded, and I’ve studied our precarious situation, which I share at ToBeFree.

      I am encouraged to hear that Mike had (or at least allowed) this man to share his testimony about not going to heaven unless he overcame his lust problem. I had a dream about this almost 2 decades ago, and this led me to study this subject in depth, to where now I’ve written Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God?, to which no one can refute.But it appears that church leaders are mostly avoiding this like the plague.

      There are very few church leaders who are really interested in the truth these days. I think Mike is a significant exception, and I wonder what is going on in his thinking.

      He said what I mention in this post without warning at all that willful lust (heart adultery) is a salvation issue. He let Allen Hood teach once-saved-always-saved openly at the IHOPU awakening meetings:

      Mike was almost totally hands off during the ‘revival,’ and then he said the leaders did a wonderful job, when he finally called it quits, for now. I agree that Wes did.

      Throughout America, right now, it is vogue to teach OSAS, which is what Augustine, Luther and Calvin taught. And Luther didn’t get it; Calvin didn’t get it; and now we’re not getting it. Look up Luther and Calvin in my Categories drop-down menu, if you’re interested. I’m convinced that OSAS is destroying the church, and hence America.

      So where is Mike teaching today that we can lose our salvation through willful lust, etc.? If he really believes this he will teach it directly, right — so there is no doubt among any of us what IHOP teaches.

      There should be clear teachings about this online for all of us to see — unless Mike is waivering, perhaps even leaning toward what Allen teaches.

      If there is clear teaching about this online that I haven’t seen, please point me to it. If not, perhaps you could ask Mike what is going on. The Satanic tide is huge, trying to get every church to whimp out into “we aren’t accountable, it’s all up to God” — which is pure hogwash, doctrines of demons — going by Paul’s introductions (which they don’t even get right) instead of by the meat of what he said later on in the texts.

      Regarding the ‘condemnation’ issue. Condemnation is a natural result of willful sinning sins that lead to death. And the currently popular false doctrine that says there is no condemnation to those who are born-again is only possible because the second part of Romans 8:1 has been removed from Rupert Murdoch’s NIV, etc..

      The church is getting jacked, and part of it is through false Bible translations. I discuss this in Who Goes to Heaven…, linked above. Perhaps you could get Mike to read this. I’ve been unable to get the local pastors here in Anchorage to even look at it; though, some promised me they would. The deception is so great. Demonic power reigns way too much. It’s very frustrating. We’re so close to revival yet so far away if we keep willfully sinning.

      It seems that most ‘Christians’ today don’t even want to research this subject deeply enough to know for sure what is true. It seems that most are willfully ignorant, which isn’t surprising, because this is what the Bible said would happen:

      2 Peter 3: BEWARE, in the LAST DAYS People Will Be WILLINGLY IGNORANT

John was sharing privately to Ihop leadership and Mike was so moved by it he called an emergency meeting, never in 12 years as this been done before and all staff was there including Allen Hood. The Lord quoted to John Matt 7:23 about saying to those who don’t know Him, He will say I never knew you. And said ‘you have adultery in your heart’ and quoted 1 Cor 6: 9 Know all of you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionists, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” He also said he had issue with him about those that prophesy without hearing Him and those the judge others bringing more condemnation on themselves, but didn’t say they had lost their salvation.

    I don’t have a direct link to Mike and I will look for a link to some teachings where he is direct about this issue, or if any future ones come. Stuart Greaves teaching on hell from 04 comes to mind. I personally have not heard OSAS at ihop, but have heard we are justified by faith as an entry point to access the power of God to repent. Repentance is not a work of the flesh but of the power of God’s Holy Spirit. In your link it would seem Allen is addressing the sincerely repentant who still feel unforgiven, imo.

    It’s so odd to me to see these things about Mike and Allen because I haven’t seen other teachers with this kind of zeal for holiness in their flock, who actually achieve in them long-term. And judging a tree by its fruit I have met so many staff that have the fruit and of the Sprit in joy and love and also are afraid to watch TV because like Mike and Corey say, want to ‘guard their eye and ear gates’ to their being, referring to lust. Judging a tree by its fruit, I don’t see this quality of joyful wholeheartedness is many other flocks. Many have a religious attitude that judges others that aren’t as pious as they are and burn out fast because they have no bridal paradigm. During the awakenings Holiness and letting go of things like movies and tv and secular music were encouraged, but not out of a religious spirit but out of seeking to be abandoned to the Lord. When people repent at IHOP, it’s usually because they see sin is keeping them from God and they want more of God.

    The issue with using losing salvation as a primary motivator for repentance without also teaching the kindness of God is that many kids will just give up and concede to not being saved. But I do have the feeling that you won’t hear OSAS at IHOP again, if it was something one of the teachers there held to before. The primary message at IHOP continually has been ‘dial down your life, let go of encumbrances, and get ahold of time management to pursue God with prayer with fasting and abandoned devotion.’

      Thanks for the link to the John Malinde message. I will definitely listen to it. It’s GREAT to see God direct us back into truth. I really like Mike’s heart to do what is right no matter what! He’s always been that way from what I’ve seen mostly from a distance for the past 25 years.

      There are a number of things going on here. I’ll share a few.

An IHOP example — so close and yet so far away — from full REVIVAL :( Please read carefully. Some people interpret his talks as being tough talk, but he’s actually puts many at ease. “Asleep in the light,” Keith Green called it. K-LOVE does the same thing. They might stop wearing provocative clothing in front of Allen, but most will keep on lusting and do things where he’s not looking if they think they’re going to heaven anyway. That’s just how people are, which is why the Bible warns over and over about living holy so we can have eternal life in heaven — though pastors are mostly teaching the opposite. Almost every single U.S. pastor has been deceiving the people for many years now, teaching an unbalanced gospel — much different than from what was taught in the Bible. It’s like brainwashing, mind-control. And then K-LOVE reinforces the imbalance as they drive around town.

      I know what I’m talking about. I was deeply involved in the Vineyard holiness movement in the late ’80s, when I was in seminary in Chicago (never did finish). I’m very familiar with the “Father heart of God” teachings. I think they’re important. Jesus ran when the prodigal son returned, but without the balance of the fear of God most of the prodigal sons and daughters are just staying prodigal.

      You quoted Romans 11 above, which is the balance. I’ll quote the whole passage here. The church is out of balance because teachers like Allen have convinced them that God will never be stern toward them; though, Romans 11 is written to Christians.

      17 But if some of the branches [Israel] were broken off, and you, being a wild olive [gentiles], were grafted in among them, and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree; 18 don’t boast over the branches. But if you boast, it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.” 20 True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Don’t be conceited, but fear; 21 for if God didn’t spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off.

      What the Vineyard movement, and subsequently IHOP and others have focused on is only part one of what we are told to consider by Paul.

      From the many talks from Allen that I’ve heard, he’ll only talk about the severity of God in terms on how God will judge our nation. He’ll never ever tie it to salvation like Paul and the New Testament writers did.

      I believe Allen is a false teacher, and has led many astray. He has no business being President of IHOPU for he can’t even correctly interpret Hebrews 10:26-39.

      But there is something deeper here.

      I’m very much into being led by the Spirit of God. “The Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth,” Jesus said. I wrote a whole paper on this in a non-charismatic seminary, defending the Vineyard movement and what is right. The professor had actually publicly denounced in writing the Vineyard movement and the theory I here defended. He gave me a high grade for the paper, by the way.

      A Call to Intimacy: The Holy Spirit in John’s Gospel & Epistles — A paper I wrote for D. A. Carson’s Johannine Theology class at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, 1993

      What I wrote is probably what Mike Bickle also believes. But there is a fundamental problem at IHOP.

      I’m going to mention something that I have hardly at all discussed in this site. So I don’t harp or major on this issue at all, but I think it’s a fundamental problem for IHOP and many churches who have chosen to go down this line.

      The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth, but the Holy Spirit won’t disagree with anything written in the Bible. The Bible only contains a small portion of the total truth there is, but everything it says is true.

      When Vineyard, IHOP and many other churches say that what Paul said about women leading men in the church doesn’t apply to us in 1 Timothy 2 they are putting experience over and above what the Bible clearly says. They are setting a standard that we don’t have to first and foremost understand what the Bible says. And this is really, really dangerous for many reasons. And this precludes that teachers at IHOPU must not take the Bible totally literally. Experience can override the Bible. Shelley Hundley can be a Bible teacher; though, Paul not only said women should not, but he gave two reasons why, and they were both not Greek-cultural reasons, but they involve how God made man and woman — gifted them uniquely differently.

      Men’s and women’s strengths and weaknesses are different and complementary. And when Paul said there is neither male nor female he was talking about who can be Christians. He wasn’t saying to now ignore the God-designed differences.

      1 Timothy 2 says:

      9 In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety; not just with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing; 10 but (which becomes women professing godliness) with good works. 11 Let a woman learn in quietness with all subjection. 12 But I don’t permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience; 15 but she will be saved through her childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and sanctification with sobriety.

      I know this is not popular, but that is partly because of what Mike and others have done to make Paul’s clear teaching unpopular. And once they start the slippery slope it is no wonder that false salvation doctrine is also taught. And the sternness of God when it comes to salvation has been taboo.

      It is interesting that God gave Shelley the vision (or dream) of how the previous revivals apply to what is to be the current one — and how God emphasized Jonathan Edwards. Why did God emphasize Jonathan Edwards to Shelley and IHOP? And why isn’t IHOP then talking a lot about Jonathan Edwards?

      Because Jonathan Edwards talked about the sternness of God: Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God — the key subject Allen and many at IHOP teach just the opposite of. When Jonathan Edwards taught this revival came.

      What I’m teaching isn’t supposed to be a balanced message. I’m not a pastor. I’m teaching a balancing message, so we can have balanced teaching and real revival.

      Revival won’t happen without repentance, and full repentance won’t happen from most without the truth about the sternness of God taught — no matter how many times the singers tell God to come. I personally don’t think it’s wise to tell God what to do. The singers should be singing mainly straight-to-God worship, like Jaye is sometimes a really good example of. But there is a faction at IHOP who don’t like direct-to-God worship. I can feel it. I’m a worship leader, myself — though there isn’t a biblical church to lead worship in here.

      The worship leaders should do it anyway. The worship leaders should worship and not do what the willfully sinning people feel more comfortable doing.

      We had a worship leader like that at the Evanston Vineyard. Worship was awesome!!! But then a man took his place who mostly sang songs about God, and the worship immediately died. It was totally obvious to me, but I think many people liked the lack of God’s convicting presence that could be felt.

      To right-with-God people, the presence of God is awesome. To willful sinners, if it’s turned up it could even kill them. Some people have even cried out in repentance right during worship, when it’s real and powerful.

      There was another thing mysteriously totally missing from the IHOPU Awakening: the necessity of getting right with those we’ve hurt. I never heard it mentioned once. I’ve stated elsewhere that I think this happens when certain leaders aren’t right themselves with those they’ve hurt.

      Getting right with those they’ve hurt and public confession of sin was the major theme at the Asbury Revival 1970:

      [video] Asbury Revival, 1970: “‘Dr. Kinlaw, I am a liar. Now what do I do?’ … Three days later, she came to me radiant, and she said, ‘Dr. Kinlaw, I’m free!’”

      It’s my opinion that Wes is clean, which is why God touched him so. Most current church leaders are actually wicked. They James-3 curse those who they see as a threat to their leadership. I have a category on that.

      When a church leader is right with God they can just rest in God. And that is Wes. Those who aren’t right with God and all people do ‘sweaty’ ministry, ministry in their own strength. They’re confidence men, con-men. They are naturally gifted to convince people things that aren’t even true.

      Wes is the real deal. Steve Nicholsen at the Evanston Vineyard (when I was there — and hopefully still is) was the real deal. Hopefully, Mike is too.

      I get along great with right-with-God-and-people leaders. The problem is that there currently are hardly any. Most leaders are biblically disqualified and shouldn’t lead until they get right with those they’ve hurt. And many aren’t even called to lead, like Wes pointed out. [I have posts on both of these subjects on this site]

      And prophetic people who point these things out to willfully sinning church leaders will usually then get cursed and persecuted by the leaders who refuse to step down and let those who are qualified to lead lead. They try to kill the messenger and turn everyone against him. They are the one who should really, really tremble. They’re going to get the stricter judgment. And we know there is no judgment in heaven, so the stricter judgment was referring to a worse punishment in hell.

      A number of years ago, I kept hearing “Psalm 50,” which I write out here. Many think that God is a certain way but will be shocked when they die if they don’t stop willfully sinning. I think God was specifically telling this to me about certain local (Anchorage, Alaska) church leaders:

      In Psalm 50 God Warns: “You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that I was just like you. … Now consider this…lest I tear you into pieces and there be none to deliver” (Hell?)

      I think revival is pretty simple: “Draw near to Me and I will draw near to you.” Many church leaders can put on an act like they’re drawing near. But only when they truly do will we have revival.

      Brandon, does this make sense? Do you see it? I know you’re in the midst of this sweeping thing that is largely saying the opposite of what I’m saying. Please consider what God has been trying to tell IHOP, and how it is actually men like Allen who are the disinfo specialists who are keeping the Third Great Awakening from happening in our midst.

      I was just now thinking of a line from a portion of my Let Us Be ONE prophecy: Let that Dirty Thing Go, The Monster That Hides Inside. You may find this interesting:

      Most ‘Christians’ are filled with demons, including most church leaders, and this actually hurts God: “I hurt.”

      And: “They don’t think I’m that mean, but I can be.”

      I am deep inside, but there are others. We share this space, and it is yukky. Most don’t obey, so most are unclean, and I hurt. …

      Wrath will come. It will fill many with unbelief. They don’t think I’m that mean, but I can be. I hate anger. It is distasteful in My sight. I see it and look away—brother hating brother. This can’t be found in My Word as acceptable for you, My people. Trust Me to lead you into love. Then life will come to many who disobey. Anger will cease. We will be one.
